Hello, sweet friends!
I hope you are enjoying our reading as well as the time in the Word. I say it that way, as I find Bible 180 to yield not only learning and exposure to the content of the reading and but also the time in the Word which brings time with the Holy Spirit while reading and also after reading, as I ponder the words and their meanings.
Last week I kept noticing the mention of colors of blue, purple and scarlet throughout the instruction for the the clothing and the place of worship. I kept wondering about the symbolism in those colors… did the symbolism in those colors stem from this mention? Is this where that began? I wondered the same with the pomegranates and the almond flowers. I might do a deeper dive at one point to see.
Before that, earlier in the week, I thought a lot about the law and observances… and what we uphold today and don’t, as Christians. What we choose to keep as sacred and what we don’t. Jesus didn’t smash the law… but I’m getting ahead of our reading AND I’m keeping you from our reading schedule. There is just so much to think ponder here. I love it. :) And I am so glad you are here with me on this journey.
I’ll ask my questions for check in in just a bit, but I do not want to keep you waiting, so here is the reading schedule for this week:
And for the Weekly Check in….
Please leave a comment to let us know what grabbed you last week that just had you thinking or wondering. Please don’t answer the questions for each other in the comments, though– instead, just be brave enough to ask questions and let them set, waiting, wondering, unanswered, open for each of us to ponder…..
And then, keep reading, keep wondering, my friends. It’s been a wonderful journey with you.
In love,
