Today’s Reading: Exodus 1:1-Exodus 15:18
I hope and pray your reading is going well. If you are falling behind, think about what you can do this weekend to catch up before Monday’s check in post. Most of you will hear from your mentor before Monday. If you do not, please send me a note. We have already been faced with a few emails bounced back. We want to do everything we can to help, but if we can’t get in touch that makes it a bit more difficult.
On to to my SOAP for the day:
Scripture: Exodus 10:18
Moses then left Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord.
Observation: There are actually many verses just like this one in today’s passage. Moses continues to pray to the Lord on behalf of Pharaoh.
Application: As Moses prays to the Lord, he completely trusts in His decision and action.
Moses already had his time of questioning and doubting the Lord, but here he is just presenting the petitions to the Lord and trusting in His response.
This had to have been frustrating and confusing. And yet Moses kept to it and trusted that the Lord would do what was best.
Prayer: Lord, there are so many times that I want to jump in and fix things. Thank you for this reminder to present my requests to you faithfully and then wait. You know the right steps to take. You know what should happen, even when I don’t understand.
Guide me as I live day to day, praying to you and praying to you for others.
Lord, I want your will to be done. Please guide me in pursuing exactly that and then following it.
