Wooo-Hooo! Here we are on Day One of the Summer 2010 Blogging Through the Bible in 90 Days/Bible in 90 Days session!
Today you should read pages 1-12 of The Bible in 90 Days Bible or Genesis 1:1- Genesis 16:16.
Here is a link to my SOAP observation from Day 1 earlier in the year.
I am so excited that you have decided to join approximately 425 others to read the entire Bible together with the MomsToolbox community and pray for and encourage each other in the process.
The Bible in 90 Days program is a ministry hosted in churches and communities all across the country. I was thrilled when Ted Cooper, the ministry’s founder (who facilitated the group I participated in to complete the Bible in 90 Days the first time), allowed me to host a community on MomsToolbox in January. I have been amazed at how this online community has grown.
I base our program on the Bible in 90 Days’ Ministry program, with a few changes to accommodate our different needs.
As part of our program I require that you check in here on MomsToolbox within the weekly check in post every Monday between midnight CST and 2 a.m. CST Tuesday. The comments and link will close at 2 a.m. (or when I wake up Tuesday morning) in order to help you stick with the deadline.
(I know that may sound strict, but please trust me. This is our accountability tool and I need for you to honor it, even when you have to admit that you are behind. Just check in and move on. The we’ll all be praying even more so for you.)
Since we haven’t had much to read just yet, today I ask that you check in either by letting us know if you are up to date in the reading or share a few sentences about yourself and why you decided to join us. You may check in by leaving a comment on this post or using the Linky to link to a post on your own blog. If you do link a blog post, you must also link from your post back to this check-in post so your readers can learn more about the challenge (and potentially join us!!)
Then, make plans to join us for our first Twitter party tonight from 8-9 CST. Be sure to follow the #B90Days hashtag. For more on Twitter, please read this post.
(To leave a comment, click on the text that says the number of comments so far. That will open the comments to be read. Then scroll down and leave yours at the end.)
So…how’s it coming so far?

I’m late with my Monday check-in. Took a computer holiday yesterday. But I’m here and looking forward to the challenge of spending more time daily in the Word.
I am most definately behind! Already! We are in the middle of a move and I haven’t had the chance to check in or finish my reading! I will get caught up though!
I read yesterday’s reading yesterday, and I’m going to read todays at swimming lesson time.
Finished day 2. So refreshing!!!!!!

I’m not up to date with the reading: cannot find my Bible in 90 Days anywhere!! Have turned the house upside down looking for it. My lunch time today will be spent in the bookstore – buying a new one.
But I guess that’s okay: just symbolic of a fresh beginning….

I’ve read day one and part of two – off to a great start!
Did it! Sorry I didn’t comment yesterday. Off to do today’s reading!
I’m so excited about this. Got the first day’s reading done. Now I just need to remember to check in on time next week (it is already tuesday morning, but the comments were still working).
I won’t be able to make it on twitter during this time because it happens at 3am for me. =)
Happy reading

Did not get an e-mail from you letting me know what to read. I had to come to your site this morning to find out what to read. I am going to read it this morning so that I am caught up with the rest of you guys. Excited about the challenge!
Glad you are reading with us!
I don’t send out daily emails with the reading schedule, but you can print a copy here: http://www.momstoolbox.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/b90orgbookmark.pdf

Got Day 1 in today! Genesis 1-16. I’m really looking forward to taking this journey again!
Hi, I’m Kara White. I live on Whidbey Island in WA with my husband, daughter, and two dogs. My husband is currently on his R&R from Afghanistan. He goes back on Wed. I haven’t done my reading yet for today, but I will before I go to bed.
While I have read the whole Bible in pieces, I have never read it cover to cover.
Checking in for the first time. Read the first 12 pages today and very excited to be on this journey.
Starting today! Super excited!
I am so looking forward to this challenge. I have 3 children under the age of 4 and have a hard time finding the time to read my Bible. I stayed up late tonight to finish and am determined to keep this up.
I am trying to do the Bible in 90 days again. I started back in Jan. and did well for a while, but then some illness in our family got me off track. I am really hoping to make it through this time! I read day one tonight, but I know that Satan is going to challenge me. I have 4 kids ages 5 and under. our youngest is not quite 2 months and I am exhausted most of the time. My hope is that God will use this accountability to help me read daily when my fatigue might make it more difficult otherwise.
Hi my name is kj I hope this is where I check in for the first day of bible reading when I found your blog earlier this year I was too late to join in and I am very excited to join in this time thank you , kj
Hi, just checking in. Completed day one. Looking forward to the next 89 days.
Hi all. Just checkin in. I don’t have home internet yet so I’m checkin in thru my phone. I’ll post li l to my blog when I get Internet back. I’m excited about reading the Bible in 90 days.
Very excited about this new journey! This is something I have always wanted to do. I’m a wife, homemaker & mom of two wonderful daughters. I love my family so much. I’m looking forward to growing in the word of God & loving Him even more!
I am checking in for the first time hope to get my DH to read after I am done doing this.
Was traveling all day today so was not able to connect to internet and still trying to figure out twitter, but I did get my reading done for today and discovered a few things hadn’t caught my eye before. I’m really excited to be a part of this group : )
Just checking in! About to read today’s reading since my alone time is at night. I also have purchased it on audio book to listen if the night gets away from me. I have a 21 month old son and due with a daughter in October. Never have read through the bible, in fact, the thought has always scared me but glad for this blog and the accountability it offers. Hoping to get used to twitter but not sure it’s my thing, yet:)
Many blessings and success to all those in this summer’s reading group!
My hubby and I are starting the reading to tonight and we are so excited!! Just checking in :)
Reading done!
I’m a single mom of 6, with 4 still at home. My older 4 kids and I were baptized 6 years ago so we’re still fairly new Christians. I was not raised in a Christian home although my parents both believed in God/Jesus. My mother is currently living with us. I have read several books of the bible but never in its entirety. I signed up for #b90days and was very excited. I was telling my mom about it a few days ago and she asked to join. Praise God! My mom grew up in church but has not been active her whole adult life. Now she’s reading the bible on her own!
My 16 yo twin daughters also agreed to join us. We have all read Day 1. I do my reading aloud to my 7 and 8 yo so they will hear the bible in 90 days! What a blessing this will be as 3 generations in my home grow and learn together!
Hi I’m Bev and I’ve read Day One. I’m excited about reading the Bible in 90 Days as I have never finished it when I’ve tried before. I think the accountability will help keep me going. I’m 54, married almost 32 years, and mother of two great kids – a son, age 26, and a newly married daughter, age 23. I am very blessed.
I have read Day One and am excited about reading the Bible in 90 Days. I am a 54 yo empty nester mother of two: a son age 26, and a daughter age 23 and newly married. Although I’ve read and studied Scripture most of my life, I have not been successful in my previous attempts to read it cover to cover. I’m grateful for the accountability you offer and to my friend, Jeanette, for telling me about it.
I made it through Day 1. I am excited about getting into the routine and getting into God’s word!
Finally finished the first days reading. I’m really needing this re-read to help me fight back and reconnect from being a backslider. Finding time to read is going to be a huge challenge but I am determined even if it means I’m pulling “all-nighters” and living on coffee!
Day one has started for me. I have even recruited my teenage daughters to read the bible with me
I linked up above, but if anyone wants to read a little about me, you can go to my Meet the Pod page on my blog. Happy reading!

Just finished day one – I’m excited – but I know this will be a very big challenge. I enjoyed my time today and I pray to find a special time each day to complete this journey.
I decided to try to read the Bible in 90 days because I needed the motivation to actually read my Bible daily. My hubby is in the middle of a 365 tour and I am home with all 3 kids taking care of the home and pets. I am really looking forward to it….it should be a good way to quickly immerse myself in Scripture.
I completed the challenge for today. I have to admit, I am very excited about doing this! I am looking forward to reading the BIBLE cover to cover!

Happily completed today’s reading. I had “planned” on reading in the mornings, however, this morning as I was sitting down to read I got a terrible phone call. My husband’s grandfather was being rushed to the hospital with breathing trouble. I immediately started praying for God to give him breath. By the time I made it to the house we got the call that he was breathing well and acting like himself. Glory to God!!! So now that I have everyone settled for the day I get my God time. My thanks to Him for all the blessings in my life! No matter how tired I am, I know God deserves my best!
I’m here
I’m a stay-at-home/homeschooling mom of two little girls. I’ve tried the “Bible in a year” plans before and never made it past 6 months. I’m keeping my faith in God that I found your website for a reason and will successfully finish the Bible in 90 days! :)
