Welcome Bible in 90 Days/ Blogging Through the Bible in 90 Days participants! I am thrilled that you decided to join us in reading every word of the Bible between now and October 5.
If you are up to date, you should have read to page 96 in the Bible in 90 Days Bible or to Leviticus 14:32.
At the end of this post I will invite to share your progress with us. Please leave a comment letting us know where you are in the reading, whether you are caught up, racing to catch up or even feeling a bit frustrated. For more on check-in posts, please see this post. Bloggers, you are invited to share your progress with a comment or a link to your own blog post in the linky.
Now, on to a a message from Ted Cooper, who created the Bible in 90 Days program after reading the Bible in 90 Days himself and becoming a Christian as a result…
How exciting is this? Amy reports that over 500 of you are joining MomsToolBox.com in reading the entire Bible this summer. Imagine how each of you will be impacted… and how then you will be able to impact your family, friends and churches.
What you are doing is simple, in concept: reading God’s Word… all of it… from cover to cover… like we do a novel.
It is the bestselling book EVER. So it makes sense for us to read it. And, it seems very likely that the Author meant for us to experience ALL of it – not just bits and pieces of it.
So, congratulations for finding this online community, a group with which to share this foundational experience.
As you progress along this journey, please know that our ministry is here to support you throughout, both with FREE resources and others that are LOW COST.
You see, Bible in 90 Days is a ministry that is determined to help people read – attentively – every word of the Bible. And, so far we’ve helped churches, organizations, small groups and individuals in 49 states and 16 countries do just that.
Here are just some of the FREE ways we can help you:
* B90 Daily Message – A daily email is sent to you during the reading period to keeps you on track with: the reading schedule, words of encouragements, verses to ponder, community resources and more. Sign up: http://visitor.constantcontact.com/d.jsp?m=1102593140129&p=oi
* Listen While You Read – Having the Scriptures read to you while you follow along in the Bible is a rich multi-sensory experience. For those of us who are slow readers — or tend to backtrack when reading — it also helps us maintain a steady pace. Sign up: http://www.biblein90days.org/listenwhileyouread/
IMPORTANT: You can hear Jack Modesett’s weekly lessons from the Listen While You Read section. You’ll be glad you listened.
* B90 Message Forums (Brand New)– Tell us what YOU think about your reading, as you HELP US inaugurate this new feature on our site. You might even want to become one of our volunteer moderators. Sign up: http://forums.biblein90days.org/ ·
Here are some LOW COST ways we can help:
* The Bible in 90 Days Bible – There are many good Bibles out there; you may even have several on your bookshelf. But MOST of them are NOT well suited to reading from cover to cover in 90 days. Often, the print is too small… or the translation is wonderful in small doses (but not large)… or there are great sidebars and footnotes that detract from the reading. We strongly encourage you to use the B90 Bible on your journey. If cost is the issue, please apply for a scholarship from us. We are a tiny ministry, but we want you to have a great experience journeying through God’s Word.
* The Bible in 90 Days Leader’s Kit – Our curriculum and resources have helped groups as small as TWO people to more than 1000 people read the entire Bible in community. The Leader’s Kit includes: The Leader’s Guide, weekly lessons on DVDs, The Participant’s Guide, The Essential Bible Companion, the Bible, and additional resources to help you market the course within your church or community. The curriculum is designed so that leaders need only FACILITATE. No knowledge of the Bible is necessary (though it is certainly welcome).
Finally, if there’s something that can help you on this journey that we aren’t yet supplying, please let us know. We want to help as many people as possible have this foundational Christian experience.
Okay, readers, let us know how you are doing! We want to pray for you! If you are participating in the linky, don’t forget to link back to this post in your own post so your readers can read more about the program.
And don’t forget to join us tonight on Twitter from 8-9 CST using the #B90Days hashtag.
The linky and comments will close at 2 a.m. Monday night/Tuesday morning.

I am in need of catching up at this point. I attended a good friends wedding over the weekend a few hours drive away. So between visiting with old friends, attending a wedding and lots of driving, I got a total of 2 pages worth of what should have been two days of reading done! I’ve got hopes of catching up tonight. Not sure how close I’ll get!
I am caught up and filled with joy over that fact! I still have today’s reading to go, but for the most part I read at night so I feel safe in saying I’m caught up.
I have a meeting at church on Monday nights so usually won’t be attending the Twitter party.
I’m a day behind, but I am determined to catch up!
I got a little behind over the weekend, but intend to get caught up today. I’m loving it!
I am caught up! Yeah! Just have today’s reading to do. Off to do just that….
I’m a little behind but hanging in there.
I’m still participating, although running 2 days behind because of the busy weekend. I’m going to work on getting caught up this week and then next week I’ll be on vacation and hopefully will get ahead by a few days. Also, I won’t be able to check in next Monday because we’ll be out of town but I’ll still be working my way through the Bible :)
Blessings!
Susan
Haven’t completed today’s reading but I finished up Exodus last night. My husband is trying to read along too. He’s a bit behind b/c he’s a dean of a sr high week of camp this week and hasn’t been able to catch up since Fri with all his last minute responsibilities/preparations for camp. However, we are really enjoying reading the passages and discussing them afterward. I’m hoping he’ll be able to at least maintain this week and not get further behind.
Thanks for all you do to help us be successful!
I have been doing far better than I ever imagined with this challenge! So very thankful that I joined in! I have learned so much, already, and have met some wonderful people along the way!
May God continue to bless each and everyone taking part in this challenge!
I need to read yesterday’s reading and today’s before the chat tonight. Right when I sat down to do my reading yesterday, my hubby really wanted to watch a movie together. We don’t see much of each other due to his work schedule lately—it’s going to get better at the end of August—so I decided to watch it with him, knowing I would have to do two days today.
I got a little behind yesterday. Going to do yesterday and today’s reading today.
I am right on schedule. I am learning so much and am so energized by the support I receive on Twitter. I’ve “met” so many nice new people and it is great to be sharing this wonderful experience with all of you.
Hope to chat with some of you tonight on Twitter!
I’m a day ahead, so, so far, so good. I really had a challenge reading through the second half of Exodus, but I’m learning so many things I feel I should know. I went to parochial school for 12 years and I can’t remember Aaron even being mentioned before. How ridiculous is this? I don’t know if it’s ignorance or a lack of recall, but there are so many things I’m learning. Thanks, Amy (and Beth, my mentor).
I fell behind in my reading over the weekend but will get caught up today!
I just finished today’s readings. I’m very thankful for the audio! I am a slow reader, trying to comprehend every piece of it and yet I find myself having to re-read because I will zone out as my mind wonders.
I have really been surprised to see that I am right on track! I have been reading first thing each morning, which helps me stay focused. :) No blog, but I am sharing with friends!! Have a great day!
I started in late May, so I’m in Psalms right now. But actually, i think I’m going to switch it up and read a few Psalms, a Proverb and then continue on with what’s next, and just read Psalms and Proverbs a little at a time each day until I read through.
I find that I can’t attentively read Psalms for long because they are just so deep, so I like breaking them into bits.
I am loving this program! I am a little behind – didn’t finish yesterday’s, but will catch up today. A friend I haven’t seen in 20 years was in town w her family, so catching up took over my free time yesterday!
Reading the Bible this way is an amazing experience – I find details that I’ve read before are this time just leaping off the page. It is a wonderful experience.
Thank you for this ministry! My daughters are reading along too, they’re doing the kids versions. They are asking good questions and keeping up – summer is the perfect time for them to do this.

I have loved my week of reading – but I won’t lie it has been challenging to find time for all the reading. I’ve quickly realized I have got to change my schedule to make time for the reading. I’m a day behind – I thought I would be able to catch up this weekend but things have been busier than I imagined and every time I tried to catch up my eyes were heavy – which turned into a nap! I’m very motivated to get back on track this week – I have a busy week so I’m thinking early mornings and and a good cup of coffee for the readings:)
I’m behind two days, but determined to catch up. I LOVE the things I’m discovering, so it’s worth it to me to stick with it! I’ve read bits and pieces of the Bible, but never read consecutively. I’m amazed at how the Bible has come alive by reading it in this format. Yay!
After week 1 I’m still on track! Started on tomorrow’s reading. Still excited about it all. Looking forward to Twitter meeting tonight.
All caught up and really enjoying this. Enjoying mentoring too. Really loving that I get to pray for others to succeed at this. Thanks Amy.

Done reading upto Leviticus 5. Will continue reading tomorrow. :)
I am actually still ahead of the game! I am in Deuteronomy! I am really enjoying reading through the bible cover to cover because i am coming to a MUCH better understanding of who God is and what he wants us to be!
I’ll finish today’s reading at lunch today. I’m a B90 grad from the January session and I’m continually amazed at all that God continues to bring out of His word. Just thrilling!
I am so excited to say I have kept up with the reading. I did the Bible in 90 days about 7 years ago and with all the bible studies in between the readings gives you so much more out of it. God is really great and this just shows us what we already know.
I’m happy to report that I’m on track with the reading…still need to do today’s reading, but I’ve been doing that in the afternoons while my kids sleep. This has been a great challenge so far, and I’m so excited about the next 72 days!
Hey there, happy to report that I am all caught up with the exception of today’s reading which I plan to read when I get home from work this evening. So far so good, I am super-excited and really enjoying this.
I am one day behind not so good for a mentor maybe but had a rough weekend I will catch up! However, all of the participants I am mentoring that emailed me back over the weekend are up to date! Thank God :) Praying that everyone keeps chugging along we can do it!
I’m a day ahead! Must admit it’s kinda tough plugging through all those rules, but it’s been good!
I’m behind, but hoping to move some things around and make more time to read my Bible. This is becoming a lesson in discipline and commitment for me as well as reading the word for the first time!
I too am part of the blogless contingent. I’m pleased to report that I’m up to date with the reading. I have been using the New Living Translation which has made the begats a little easier to deal with. I pray that I’m able to be as dilligent with the reading for the next 82 days…
I am halfway through today’s reading, and throughout each page I have been so thankful that God led me back to try this again. I am humbled that He loves me so much….that His Word is alive and useful for healing and resurrecting and infusing life into the stagnant parts of my heart.
Thanks, Amy for your leadership and your prayers. :)
Checking in…I have fallen behind about 1/2 days worth of reading due to unexpected summer crud taking hold of me over the weekend. On the bright side, home sick from work today should allow me to catch up! I have still managed to read every day, just crashed before I could finish yesterday. I am loving this challenge and feel so blessed to be along for the journey with all of you!
Well, we have had a nasty stomach virus making the rounds at my house, so I am way behind….thankfully, it seems to be on its way out, so I’m determined to catch up this week!!
I’m caught up! Praying for it to continue to come as easily as it has this week!
I am on target with the reading. I have learned many things so far. God’s word as a novel is a nice change from the years of bible study. I know God will use this to tranform my heart. Thanks for offering it.
Well, I am way behind! Last week was our busiest week of the month at work and one of my children had a birthday (I’ll stop with the excuses now!) so it was incredibly hectic around here. I’m determined, though! Walked this morning and listened to the audio version and I’m planning to read in ALL my spare time, today!
I’m checking in and happy to report that I am ahead of schedule. I will be reading Day 10 today and hopefully more. My goal is to stay ahead as much as possible before school starts because then I know I will be struggling to keep up.
I am not blogging about it this week. I have a week of giveaways going on (come enter all week) and have posts planned all week. I will blog next week when we start day 16.
I am up-to-date and doing well with the readings!
I need to read yesterday and today’s sections. I believe I need to read ahead on the weekdays because I don’t find time on the weekends when everyone is home to do any sizable chunks.
I am excited to report that I am on schedule! As somoeone who has failed on many other BIble reading plans, I am very encouraged that something seems to be sticking! And I am actually looking forward to reading each day!
Praise the Lord that our God is a God who saves and desires to draw sinners into fellowship with Himself!!
Well, I’m pretty much caught up. I just lack today’s reading. I wanted to get this check-in post in early so I wouldn’t forget since I’m leaving for church camp in a few hours. We’ve got a group of 3rd-6th graders going, and I’m really excited to help and watch them grow in their relationships with Christ. It’ll be interesting to see how well I can keep up with my reading with the change in schedule.
I’m off to finish today’s reading before I have to leave!
Blogless, but checking in. Caught up :-) even after starting a day late. Enjoying it – Thanks for hosting this!!
I am JUST caught up. Not much time for blogging! Hope to be tweeting tonight, though!
I am also blogless and hate to report that I am a couple of days behind but was able to catch up quite a bit last night. Hopefully I’ll have some down time in a minute (I’m at work) and will get to read a bit. I was having quite a bit of trouble staying awake during the readings (I work 2 nights a week and stay pretty sleep deprived) but have switched to The Message Bible and have been doing a bit better. So hopefully this week I can catch up and stay caught up.
Just checking in, a bit behind in my reading but I’ll catch up today. I won’t be able to participate in the twitter party as that’s the middle of the night for me.
Sabrina
I am blog-less, too. I am checking in and am surprised to report that I am caught up. I have lots of support from my family and I am really enjoying the time in the Word. Thanks so much for the encouragement.
I don’t have a blog to link up, but I wanted to check in.
I’m a day behind, not surprising since I started a day late. I’ve been reading everyday and feel really good about my progress. I have tried to read the bible in a year before without success, but with having a goal of what to read everyday and your encouraging words I feel like I can do this and grow closer to God because of it. Thank you so much for your ministry here.
