Bible in 90 Days- join in July 2010

Reading and Blogging thru the Bible in 90 Days with so many of you this year has been an awe-inspiring experience. It has been amazing to see God moving in so many lives.

And so how can I not host another Blogging Thru the Bible in 90 Days experience?

Our next group will begin Monday, July 5, and continue through Saturday, October 2, 2010.

I will go into more details as we get closer, but here’s a quick over view to get you thinking:

To give you a heads-up, if this is your first time, I strongly suggest you use a copy of the official Bible in 90 Days Bible. It is an NIV thinline  with minimal footnotes and has start and end markers for each day. With that Bible you will be reading 12 pages a day, Genesis to Revelation. If you do not use that Bible, you can download a schedule to use with your own.

As the start date gets closer, I will post a list of participants on MomsToolbox.com. And I will ask you to share the program on your own sites, on Twitter, and on Facebook, pointing readers back here to join us.

As a group we will meet on Twitter using #B90Days each Monday night from 8-9 CST July 5, through October 4, to discuss the reading, compare notes and cheer and pray for each other.

I’ll also post weekly check-ins on MomsToolbox each Monday where I will ask you to log in with either a link to a post on your own blog or a comment as to where you are in the reading and how it is going for you.  To remain listed as a reader, you must check in regularly.

Accountability and prayer support is critical in completing this process. To help in that, I am enlisting Bible in 90 Days graduates to help stay in contact with readers and check in with them. (Each mentor will be given a short list of readers to check in with each week. Mentors do not have to be reading with us again, but they must have read the entire Bible with this program.)

I am really excited about all the enthusiasm this program has brought to reading the Bible. Reading the Bible in 90 Days certainly changed my life… I can’t wait to read what it will do in yours!

If you would like to join in the next online session of Blogging Thru the Bible in 90 Days, either as a reader or a mentor, or if you would like to help in promoting it, please leave a comment here. Make sure the email address you enter is valid… I’ll be in touch with you directly as the date grows nearer.

Also, please swing by and fill out this short sign-up form so I can stay in touch. Thanks!

And, just in case you are wondering… here’s a link to little background on the Bible in 90 Days program.

It’s been a few years since I read through the Bible and I really need to do it again. I love the idea of having a group to keep me accountable. Count me in! Now I just need to finally join the Twitter bandwagon….

I ordered the Bible in 90 days yesterday! I’m excited to start.
I do have a Twitter account and I installed the Tweet Deck, but I might need some help adding the column to get everyone’s tweets.

    I want to join!

  9. Even though I will be moving to another city and transferring to a new college at that time, I’m in! I have wanted to do this for a really long time and I think the encouragement of doing it in a group will help me to succeed this time. Plus, during stressful times it’s good to stay grounded in the word and to have people praying for you.

  11. I didn’t think I would (or even could) do this. But, the truth is, I am tired of only giving God the leftovers. I am tired of only going after for God for what He can do for me. I want to do something for Him. Is it required of Him? No. Will He love me less if I don’t do it? No. Will He love me more if I DO do it. No.
But it’s a way for me to simply express, “I love you” to Him in a practical way…a way to love Him with not just words or tongue, but with actions and in truth, like 1 John 3:18 says.
It’s a way for me to live out my relationship with Him instead of pretending to have one with no time invested in our relationship.

Currently, I do not have a stand alone blog. I am part of a wonderful homeschooling community, though, where I keep a blog that is within that community. I have linked you to my profile there. Thank you for this challenge.

  22. I am anxiously and nervously wanting to sign up for this! I have never read the bible straight through, and the thought of it kind of scares me..especially in 3 months! But I am up for the challenge and could use as much of God’s word as possible right now!
    Thanks!

  41. I’m so excited to join in! I used to read the Bible through once per year, but being a new Mommy has taken me off track a bit. I missed a day here, a day there, and then they snowballed on me and I was so far behind that I had trouble finding the encouragement to start again. I’m going to be using the schedule along with my AV. Can’t wait!

This must be God’s plan for me. I heard the last end of a radio program about 2 weeks ago and was able to retain; Moms reading the Bible in 90 days, so I googled and found. Our Pastor challenged the whole congregation to read through the Bible in one year. I gave up in February but I intend to start on July 5th, 2010 and still meet the challenge. This past year I’ve received so many “revelations” ???
Little things perhaps but very significant to me. Example: ” I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior about 34 years ago… I’m 61 now, yet all this time I thought that my Eternal Life would start when I died. Eternal Life starts when you give your life to Him. Why didn’t I grasp that? I want to repeat my 1st success and then share it with so many ladies from my church. We may be doing it in Spanish though. Hope that is O.K. Can’t wait. Thank You Jesus for showing me the way. God Bless You All
