The reading for Tuesday is Luke Chapter 21.
Here is what I heard:
I will give you what you need.
Scripture:
Luke 21:14-15
But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.
Observation:
Jesus is foretelling of the end times specifically, but I think he is also telling us not to worry so much in general. He will equip us when and how we need it.We just need to have faith and build on that.
Application:
So often I want to understand everything and prepare painstakingly for everything. But, for the big stuff, the stuff that really matters, He’s got me covered. Most of the time I get that, but sometimes I forget and lose sight. I just need to have faith. As I have heard from Him many times, He won’t let me down.
Prayer:
Thank you, Lord, for the repeated message that you will never let me down.
When I start to fear, please remind me of this again… you are in control. You will give me what I need. Even if it is confusing or strange to me, you know all and work toward the right end.
You will give me what I need. It’s just my job to listen to you and be at the ready.
Thank you.
