Guest SOAP from Connie of Smockity Frocks.
The reading for Sunday is Luke Chapter 18.
Scripture:
Luke 18: 1 “Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart.”
Observation:
Jesus wanted to remind them to continue praying and not give up. It must have been easy to take God’s silence as rejection.
Application:
I should continue to pray and not become discouraged when I do not see an immediate answer to my prayers. This is particularly difficult when a situation seems desperate. Jesus knew this. He still knows.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, Thank you for hearing our prayers. Thank you for encouraging us through your word. Help us to not lose heart during periods of stress.
