Hello my sweet friends!
I am writing from Sicily… Taormina to be more precise, as I am here on a wine business trip. It’s been a long, action-packed week already which started with a business conference in Verona where I was presenting, moved to one area of Sicily for vineyard and winery visits, and now has us in Taormina for a food and wine event for a few more days.
Through the whole trip I have learned so so much and wondered how and where to share it.
I’ve been posting a bit of it on Instagram. But it’s only a taste, right now… I need to share more and I hope to get more posts/ stories/reels up over there soon because it REALLY has been beautiful– but a whirlwind!
Even more so than this trip, though, I have been struggling with where to communicate in general… my thoughts on business, on wine business, on wine, on travel, on not traveling, on parenting, on LIFE.
I MISS blogging. I miss recording and sharing my stories without the pressure of doing it ‘right.’ I miss the joy of your comments and sweet notes and thoughts and the joy of reading the Bible with you, too.
Within the last 2 weeks I heard from 2 of you, out of the blue, just asking how I am. Wow. That was really touching— and perhaps a nudge I needed.
Thank you.
I don’t know if MomsToolbox is the right name/ platform to use or if I should launch a new site with a domain of just my name and begin there, keeping MomsToolbox here. If I do start blogging elsewhere, I’ll post and let you know here, too.
I just know that I miss the rhythm, the accountability, the sharing, the un-posed truth of the ‘old days’ of blogging and sharing.
The picture up top was taken by someone else in our group. I sent a note, asking if anyone had a balcony that could take a pic from afar. I’m still in my PJ’s, draped in a sweater and scarf, hair a mess, blogging from the heart. It feels like the old blogging days. for a few moments: no pretense, no tailored message, just love. I miss those days.
The picture below this was to give you a snap of my view while writing. (You can take a look at the full view, which I recorded yesterday, on my IG account.)
I’ll be back, sweet friends.
