Scripture: 1John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Observation: He washes us clean from our sins, provided we confess them.
Application:Hallelujah! It is so good to know that my sins are, and will be, washed away. No, I don’t like acknowledging them… But that is certainly a small price to pay!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for your love that is so strong and accepting that it encompasses me even in the midst of all my sin. Thank you for your forgiveness. Please continue to make me aware of my sins so that I can confess them to you. And so that I can work to change my ways, knowing, though, that I will never be perfect. It is only through your grace that I am righteous.
