Conquering Evil

Good morning!

Today I feel like skipping through the O and A and just sharing the S and P of my SOAP.

Will you indulge me in shaking things up a touch?

(OOOOH, I know.. I am WILD and CRAZY here!! LOL)

Alrighty. Here we go…

Scripture:

Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.

Romans 12:21

Prayer:

Father,

Please guide me always in doing YOUR will– even when I feel wronged, even when I am frustrated, even when I feel evil is gaining a foothold. Show me then (and always) how to conquer the evil with GOOD, with what is noble, pure, true– what is GOOD.

Fill me with your tools, Father. Blot out the impulse to use evil to attack, to respond in frustration or hate, and replace that with the impulse to respond in what is noble, pure, true and blessed by YOU.

Thank you, Lord, for showing me the way. Please keep me from allowing myself to be conquered by evil. Instead arm me to conquer evil with good.

With you, I can do all things– even this.
