Sunday morning I’m off for a 47-mile bike ride. With a few hills. It’s a training ride for a much bigger ride coming my way.
In just under 6 weeks I will be riding in my fourth BP MS 150, a 2-day 180-mile bicycle ride to raise awareness of and funds to battle Multiple Sclerosis. In the past I have been pretty diligent about my training. This year, due to all sorts of circumstances, mixed in with a few excuses, I’m a bit behind in my preparation.
Tomorrow we’ll see just how far behind I am, as I’ll be gearing up for a 47-mile ride. And did I mention the hills?
If you see this, will you please pray for me?
I’m going to need some strength to push and pull those peddles. And I covet your prayers for a safe ride, too… for me and all of the cyclists.
And if I could be so bold, I would also love prayers that I hear the Lord speaking to me tomorrow as I ride. I have a lot on mind. As I pedal, pedal, pedal along the country roads, I love presenting my questions and thoughts to Him and listening for his answers, all while being amazed at the beauty I always see around me when I cycle and being so thankful that I have a body which can cycle.
Thank you for your prayers.
Also, please feel free to leave your own requests here. If I see them before I ride, I’ll pray for you as I ride. If not, I’ll pray later in the day.
Thank you.
