Day 2 of Lenten prayer list: My husband

I just finished praying for my husband with my kids and I have to say the experience was really quite sweet.

I called them over and we talked a little bit about Easter and getting ready for it through Lent. Then I explained we would be praying for our friends and family almost every day until Easter and that Daddy would be the first one for whom we would pray.

I asked each child what he or she would like to pray for for him and then asked who wanted to pray out loud. Only my two year-old took me up on the out-loud praying option.

So I prayed each of their ideas and opened the floor for our youngest who prayed: “God is great. God is good. Thank you for Daddy!” Then I added my own requests, thanks and closed our prayer.

This was so much fun… I can’t wait to do it again tomorrow.
