Scripture: Acts 13: 38-39
38“Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. 39Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the law of Moses.
Observation: Paul was speaking in the synagogue, explaining how Jesus was the fulfillment of many prophecies. He cited specific scriptures in doing this, and made his case clearly and logically. Then he shared the good news of these verses: That Jesus Christ is the Messiah that had been searched out and waited for… that he is the true Son of God, sent for all of us.
Application: How simple is that? Everyone who believes is justified. That’s it, clearly stated. And if you believe, how could you not love?
Prayer: Lord, thank you for sending your son as the fulfillment of prophecy. Thank you for sending so many clues before his coming and for all that happened while we walked this earth which make his identity undeniable. And thank you for continuing to proclaim his identity and presence. And for forgiving me of my many sins through his sacrifice.
What a gift of forgiveness you have shared with us!
