Today’s reading is Acts 9. Here is what stood out to me the most:
Scripture: Acts 9: 1
Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples…
Observation:
Saul was not a nice man. He had people killed for following Jesus and preaching about Him.
Application:
God can use anyone for his purpose, even those who are filled with evil at some time. Our past, good or bad, prepared or not, does not determine whether or not He will use us or if we can be used or not. It is all up to God, so don’t count anyone out.
Prayer:
Oh Lord, it is so easy to think that people who do bad things are bad and will remain bad. But you know differently. You know the master plan. And you know the truth in everyone’s hearts.
Please, Lord, continue to move in all hearts. And whenever I want to judge anyone in a negative light, please help me to remember that all can be used for your glory. And Lord, please help those who feel as thought they are lost and beyond any goodness come to see that they are still loved and can still shine a light. I can’t imagine ever feeling that hopeless. Thank you for that. Please help those that do to see you.
What about you:
What struck you today?
And will this change how you pray about anyone?
