Thank you for joining me on my series, Memories to Share. It is my hope this series will guide you in recording family stories and personal memories to share with loved ones, as well as help you to ask others to collect Memories to Share with you someday.
Week 1’s prompt is:
Tell about one ‘treasure’ you own which represents an important memory.

Here’s a glimpse into the beginning of my story:
After my grandmother’s passing I was given a ring that was very special to my grandmother. This ring may or may not have much monetary value, I honestly have no idea. But it stood for something very special to her and she almost always wore it. When my mom gave it to me on behalf of my grandmother, I had to fight back tears, as this was something that truly said ‘Mammy’ to me more than anything else. Each day I wear it, it still feels awkward on my finger, and it reminds me of so many wonderful things about my grandmother and makes me smile.
(My story goes into much more detail. This is just to give you an idea.)
What is your story?
Your treasure might be something of monetary value or not. It might be a love note, an old ticket stub or dinner receipt or a stuffed animal. It could be a twig or a rock or a handkerchief. Tell about one of those things on this week’s Memories to Share sheet and keep it to share later or share it tonight over dinner. You may also share here in the comments, if you’d like.
