After much prayer and consideration, I have realized that I jumped the gun on announcing the next online Bible in 90 Days/ Blogging Through the Bible in 90 Days session.
Rather than begin the next session right when this one ends, I am going to take a breather and begin the next session Monday, January 3, 2011.
This will allow those who are just a wee bit behind to continue reading, finish and not get so discouraged. It will also allow a bit of downtime for our mentors and for me, too.
I apologize to each of you who has already invited friends to join you and to those of you who were preparing in other ways to begin reading sooner than January. But holding off is the right decision.
I want to tweak our program. Ted Cooper did an amazing job developing the Bible in 90 Days. I’ve done the best I can to adapt it for an online group. But I know with more prayer and thought, our program can be even better.
And so I will pray and think and research options and get ready to go in January properly.
If you would like to help with our next session in any way, please click over to my Help with the Harvest post and leave a comment there sharing how you would like to help.
If you know you want to read with us beginning January 3, feel free to leave a comment here. As the start date gets closer, I will post a definite sign-in post for those committing to read with us.
Pray about your involvement and let me know. I’d love to encourage anyone who wants to read the entire Bible in 90 Days to do it with us or through an in-person group using the Bible in 90 Days curriculum. As many of you know, you won’t be that same after you do.
Thanks for your understanding in my game change. Taking back my decision was a tough call. But it is the right one.
And, don’t worry, my daily SOAP posts will continue after October 2. I’ll just be reading from the Bible in a Year plan for the next three months. Then I’ll be back to Bible in 90 Days in January.
