Scripture: Mark 11:22-23
22Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. 23 I assure you that you can say to this mountain, ‘May God lift you up and throw you into the sea,’ and your command will be obeyed. All that’s required is that you really believe and do not doubt in your heart.
Observation: Jesus is telling the disciples that true faith can enable anything to be done, even those things which seem impossible and implausible.
Application: I read this again and again in the Bible. And I see examples of it throughout. Yet I still don’t make all my requests with a full, believing heart. I often wonder “What will He do? Can this really be changed?”
Why is it that I allow Satan to instill doubt? Time and time again God shares with me that my prayers will be answered. And that He is all-powerful.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for your continued forgiveness for so many things. I do not want to pray with part of my heart, but with a heart filled with you. You say that all that is required is to believe and not doubt. Please guide me in making my faith pure and without question. Guide me in my prayer time with you so that I will not doubt any longer, but have complete faith. You are not bound by the realities of this broken world- Instead you are all-powerful. Thank you for that. So, on that note, I have a few more prayers to send your way again…
