Here’s a little SOAP from Day 1 of Bible 180:
Scripture: Genesis 8:22
“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, will never cease.”
Observation:
God sure is patient with us.
Application:
I could be more patient. And more forgiving.
Prayer:
Thank you, Father, for your patience. There are times that I do want to point fingers and yet, I am sure I try your patience and you continue to welcome me with open arms, again and again. You welcome me to your Word, to your love, to your kindness, to your wisdom. You give me day and night, cold and heat, summer and winter and love, lots of love.
Thank you for loving me through my mistakes and my joys. I am so grateful for your unending love. I am so grateful for your patience. Thank you so much for this reminder. Please, Lord, help me to follow your example more frequently and love more often in love, showing love– even inwardly, to others.
