Happy Wednesday!
I hope you are enjoying some glorious Spring weather wherever you may be.
If you are reading with me, today we are on Proverbs 23.
Today’s Reading: Proverbs 23
Using the SOAP devotional method, here’s what I heard…
Scripture: Proverbs 23:17
Let not your heart envy sinners,
but continue in the fear of the Lord all the day.
Observation:
Don’t focus on what everyone else is doing. Instead focus on Him and his direction.
Application:
My path will be set out by God if I seek it and focus on Him. I should not look to what others are doing and desire that. Instead I should listen to the Holy Spirit and focus on following His path for me.
Prayer:
Father God,
I feel pulled in so many directions in so many areas of my life. It is reassuring to know that you know my path even when I do not. Please, Lord, keep me from being distracted by whims and the distractions of others that do not have my best intention at heart. You know what my next steps should be. You know what my plan should be. Please guide me in consulting you and listening and hearing you and implementing your guidance.
Thanks for caring enough to be there every single step of the way.
Please, please guide me. Show me my next steps. I need your guidance.
I love you.
In your Son’s glorious name I call out to you.
Amen.
