Scripture: Hebrews 3:13
But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
Observation: God wants us to reassure each other and be encouraging so that we won’t be led astray.
Application: Encouragement is a very strong tool—as is doubt.
Satan would love to thwart your positive efforts, and those of the people around you. Keep doubt away by encouraging your husband, godly women in your life and your children. Embolden them with encouragement. And when you hear yourself beginning to hurt someone, stop the enemy and find the right encouragement.
No, I am not saying to lie or build false confidences. But there are plenty of things to be encouraging about which are from God. Call for those.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for your gift of encouragement. Please guide all of us in using it, stepping in where it needs to be used to strengthen as it is needed. Please help me, as your daughter, to spread your love and keep Satan from gaining a foothold in my life, as well as in the lives those around me.
Help me to share your love with my children and be you’re your hands and feet so that they know the truth and will not be deceived by Satan when he tries to wage a war.
Sometimes I forget to be as encouraging as I should, Lord. Guide me in selecting kind, loving word and actions, even in discipline.
And thank you for your constant encouragement in your Word.
