Good morning to you! Thank you for pursuing His Word with me.
Here’s what grabbed me in my reading this morning:
Scripture
"My people were lost sheep; their shepherds led them astray, guiding them the wrong way in the mountains." -Jeremiah 50:6a
Observation
Shepherds can lead along the wrong path. (Not sure if this is implied to be intentional or not in all cases, but it happens.)
Application
We all need to watch out and to be sure to follow the TRUE shepherd, Jesus. Hold all teachings to what HE and the Holy Spirit say. This can be done through regular Bible reading and prayer.
Prayer
Father, please help me to hear YOUR voice and follow your direction alone. Correct me where I stray. I only want to follow you. I only want to follow truth.
Please help me to represent you well, in truth, to any who may follow my leading. I do not want to be a shepherd who leads anyone astray.
Thank you for your love, your guidance and for sending the Holy Spirit to guide each of us. I love you, I trust you. Please guide me in living not my will, but your will.
