SOAP: Guidance in determining the To-Dos

Scripture: Colossians 3:2

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Observation: Focus on the things with eternal consequence, not on less important things.

Application: I have so many things to do swirling about in my head… and so many more written down on a list.

I would like to think that I can get them all done because they are all good things, but, really, that would not be possible.

I need to ask for guidance (yet again) so that I can cull through and focus on the things the Lord would have me do and let go of the rest. I need to focus on what would be instructed from above, not what would make me look good here on earth.

Prayer: Lord, I come to you again asking for your guidance in setting my tasks and ordering my priorities. I want to accomplish so much and be looked upon favorably by all those around me. Please pull me back again and guide me in seeing what really needs to be done and what you want me to do. And help me release those tasks and not look back, but look forward on the path you have set me.

Help me to set my mind on things above, not on earthly things.
