Good morning!
Today’s reading for me was Psalm 16 and Acts 9. Here is what grabbed me:
Scripture:
I have set the Lord always before me.
Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
–Psalm 16:8
Observation:
With Him in my focus, front and center, I can stay the right course.
Application:
Life has bumps and bruises. The last few days, for me, have seemed to be especially challenging… and that’s been getting frustrating! I’m ready for it to end!
This was a great reminder for me that, with HIM, I can stay strong. With Him, I can do this. With Him front and center, I will not be shaken.
But I get all shaken, at times.
So, today, when I feel a disturbance in the force, when I feel frustrated, I am going to try to remember to stop, pray, focus on Him, and then move forward.
I bet it’ll be much better.
I’m willing to give it a big try.
Anyone else?
Prayer:
Father God, thank you for reminding me that you are here, and that by keeping you front and center, I can stay the right course and not let the bumps and bruises get me down. Please, Lord, guide me today as I face what comes. Help me to remember this verse. help me to place YOU front and center, and not my frustrations. Those are not of you. As you know, I can let one set back pull me down. I don’t want that to happen. Instead, I want to let your love keep me rolling and push past those road bumps and setbacks. Guide me, Lord. Help me to keep you always before me. And thank you, Lord for being there every single time I call on you. I just need to call. I love you.
