Scripture
Jesus replied, "Truly I tell you, the Son is not able to do anything on his own, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son likewise does these things." -John 5:19
Observation
Jesus looked to the Father (our Father!!) for direction and power. Without him, there was no power.
Application
Ummmmmm….. If Jesus acknowledged that he needed to look to the Father for direction and power then HOW IN THE WORLD could I do valuable things on my own? I need to look to the Father. Always.
Prayer
Thank you, Father, for this reminder that even Jesus looks to you for instruction, guidance and power. Please guide me. Please instruct me. Please help me to work in your perfect power, not my own. I love you, I trust you. I want to honor you with my thoughts and actions.
