SOAP: Sharing my faith to grow in understanding

Scripture: Philemon 1:6

I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.

Observation: Share your faith and experiences and your understanding of Christ will grow.

Application: I love this verse.

Soon after I began blogging I read this verse in my daily devotional time,  and it began to define my blog. I wanted a better understanding of every good thing I had in Christ. And I felt confused and a little lost, but I wanted to learn more and be more confident in what I did know.

So I followed this passages’s direction and began to share my faith actively by posting my daily SOAP devotionals almost daily. And my faith and understanding has grown. Sure, I have a lot more to learn, but I am learning more almost every day. And I am allowing God to use me for his purposes more than I did before I took that verse to heart.

Do you share your faith actively? Are you apprehensive because you many feel like you don’t know enough? Share it just a little more to begin… and then watch where God takes you.

Please continue to show me the opportunities you want me to take to share your word and your love. This has been a lot of fun… and until recently, I never thought I’d be one to share my faith so often or so boldly. Thank you for the privilege!
