GOOD MORNING! I’m a little pumped after reading all the passages for today. If you are reading the current She Reads Truth plan with me, I hope you are pumped, too. (Actually, I hope you are pumped after reading any Bible reading plan!)
I’ll hop right into it so you’ll see why I’m so jazzed about today’s reading:
Scripture
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." -Acts 1:8
Observation
You will receive power from the Holy Spirit. Your life will be a witness to Him for all to see.
Application
He gives us strength and know how, daily. People are looking at us, near and far. We are a witness to Him.
First of all, His power is there. He wants me to have it. He knows that we look to each other to make decisions in life and knows we WILL judge each other and make decisions based on what we see others saying and doing.
I have the opportunity to access incredible power and might to do great things… or not. I am his witness either way.
“…to the ends of the earth.”
Each one of us has the capability to be his positive witness to the ends of the earth. That’s pretty powerful.
His power is given to me daily. It’s up to me to talk with him and use it wisely so that my witness will be of his kindness, his mercy, his grace.
Prayer
Father, thank you for giving me (and each of your followers) the Holy Spirit to guide me (and us).
I WANT to be a true witness of your power and strength. Help me to access that power and let it SHINE, rather than cover it up and waste it. Thank you for your immeasurable, amazing gifts. I love you. Thank you.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
