Thank you so much for hanging in here with me through the unexpected last week. I do apologize, again, for leaving you without a reading plan until mid-week. It was pretty wild here in North Houston, where I live… and our family came out of the crazy much better than most.
For the love of Ruth
I do hope you are with me, nearing the end of Ruth, and soaking in so much of the love of the story here. I love reading about the devotion in several ways: Ruth to her mother-in-law, her mother-in-law’s back to her, Boaz’ desire to do what is right and also to provide…. love, devotion, kindness, provision… and this is all in the family line of the coming Savior.
1 John
We wrap up Ruth today and then head into the New Testament on Tuesday, jumping to a shorter book by John near the back of the New Testament, 1 John. I chose to include this in our reading because it as a beautiful account of love, but it is often overshadowed by the Gospel according to John in reading plans. I do hope you enjoy it.
What’s Next? Proverbs!
Next month, starting on March 1, I’d love for you to join me for a month of the Proverbs, where we will read 1 chapter of Proverbs a day for each of the 31 days of March. (Yep, I’ll create a bookmark for that one, too… and I’m even thinking of posting daily SOAPs once again.)
28 Days of LOVE in the Bible, Week 4 Reading Schedule
I am so glad you are here, reading with me. I hope you’ve enjoyed our exploration of love all month long.
In love,
