My sister-in-law, The Happy Housewife, is about to have baby number 7 and she is looking for guidance on what to pack in her hospital bag. You’d think she might know by NOW!
Seeing as this is Baby Number SEVEN, I guessed she had the basics down and suggested chocolate.
I like to take a big bowl of chocolates and lollipops for all the hospital staff, asking my husband to set it up at the nurses’ station with a note from us.
And yes, I pack refill candy and take the bowl to the recovery floor after the baby is born.
When my second was born, it was time to push while my husband was out of the room. (Yes, epidural on this one.) My doctor joked that the chocolate I brought convinced her to go hunt him down in the cafeteria so he wouldn’t miss the birth. :)
