Yesterday was not my favorite day. It has been a hard week, but yesterday was the crankiest and I am ready for that to stop. I just felt groggy and cranky and irritable and all kinds of frustrating things happened. And so that must STOP.
Today is a new day. And just after midnight the update for Wine4.Me was released on the app store. So I’m going to focus on happy things like that and move on. And hope my knee feels better today. And hope all the other stuff cooperates. And, most importantly, ask Him for guidance in getting out of the garbage I’ve been talking about all week.
Appropriately, here is what I heard in Psalm 63 when I applied SOAP:
Scripture: Psalm 63: 8
My soul clings to you;
your right hand upholds me.
Observation:
I know who has me, and it is YOU, and so I will hold fast to that.
Application:
Like I said, yesterday was not good. Rather than be mad at God about that, I choose to reach out to Him and ask His guidance in making things better and in helping me to see the path to follow. He will uphold me. He will show me the way. The path may be bumpy, but He will be there.
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for always being here when I call out to you, even when I am frustrated and hurting, I know you are here. Please help me to always see you and hear you. I need you. Please get us out of the icky stuff and move us to higher ground. Thank you, Lord, for your provision. You amaze me. Even when I am frustrated in some areas, I see your overflowing gifts to me. Thank you. Help me to never lose sight of that and, Lord, please help those wallowing in depression to see your glory and beauty and reach out for your strength and power. It is amazing.
Thank you, God.
