How is it Thursday already? Is anyone else wondering that? We won’t even go into the question of how next week is Thanksgiving already, as that one puzzles me, too. Time is flying by!
I think in many ways we are out of the danger zone for what has been the pinnacle of my fears and heartache lately, but we are still very much in the woods. I am still praying like never before and I can see Him, but I’m also feeling pulled down by so many things. I’m weary.
Today’s Psalm, Psalm 69, is a good one to read in its entirety if you are in a similar boat of frustration and weariness.
Here’s what verse I pulled from Psalm 69 today using SOAP:
I hope it inspires you, too.
Scripture: Psalm 69: 14
Rescue me from the mire,
do not let me sink;
deliver me from those who hate me,
from the deep waters.
Observation:
Pull me out of this garbage and do not let it sink me. Kick Satan to the curb and out of the picture.
Application:
Satan is striking me. I am being pulled down into murky nastiness and choked by frustration and that is just not acceptable. I need the Lord’s strength to get out of all this garbage. He is mighty and strong and His power can pull me out.
Prayer:
Lord, I need you. I most certainly really absolutely do.
You are all-powerful and the ultimate Victor. I hate that Satan is lurking around in my life, stirring things up, causing trouble, making me feel inadequate, pointing out all the negative and suffocating me from seeing your gifts and strengths as I should.
Kick him to the curb. Remind me of your strength and power. Share some of that with me so I can be stronger with your truth. Help me to go to battle and emerge victorious in You. Go to battle for me, Lord.
Show me my next steps. Drown out the negative false doubts. Help me to prioritize in your truth. Help me to hear your voice. Lord please rescue me from the mire, do not let me sink; deliver me from those who hate me, from the deep waters.
With you, I will make it out victorious. I need you.
Lord, please also show all of your children the truth and your love. Let others who are facing evil and frustration see this Psalm today and call on you to guide them, as well. And let them be encouraged, strengthened and even be emboldened by Your Word.
I love you. I trust you. Thank you for the answer to the prayer, Lord. Thank you for your provision.
Amen
