Scripture: Psalm 80: 19
Restore us, O Lord God of hosts!
Let your face shine, that we may be saved.
Observation:
The rest of the Psalm outlines the despair this believer is facing.
Here he shows his faith in God, even in the despair. He is calling out for restoration from God.
Application:
Even in the struggle and the days of frustration, when it feels like God may not be listening and watching, He is. Call out to Him. Ask Him for restoration.
Prayer:
Lord, I am beginning to see recovery on the bend, and yet the time I am in is very hard. I’m weary, but not as weary as I was. As you know we have good days and more challenging days. I see you, Lord. I know you are here. I cannot say I feel the full despair of the Psalmist, but I want to see you more. I want out of this pit. Please, Lord, restore us. Please, let your face shine. Save us from this frustration and heartache. Guide me in my next steps. And let these experiences be used for your glory at the right time.
I love you, God. I am thankful for your presence and guidance.
