A look into my journal…. and Day 35 of the New Testament in 40 Days

Good morning! Our reading today is Hebrews 11- James.

This morning, I thought I’d give you a look into my journaling inspired by one of the verses from today’s reading.

Hebrews 12:1 really struck me.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw if everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”

As I was reading this, I couldn’t help but think of how this slow down from Covid-19 has certainly given me the opportunity to clear my life of the distractions that come from travel for my business, and distractions in general.

Because of this pause, I have an opportunity now to live undistracted, unentangled and instead to focus on what really is important to me, both personally and professionally. What I do with this time really is up to me. What will I choose to do with it? It IS up to me. When I look back, what will I think of myself?

Will I throw off what hinders?

Will I reach to the cloud of witnesses for wisdom?

Will I run with perseverance to the right things?

It is up to me.

He has given me this time.

He’s marked out the race.

Now it’s my turn.

Thanks for reading with me, friends.

I’ll see you tomorrow for check in.

In love,
