Week 7 of Bible 180– Wherever you may be in the reading :)

Hello, sweet friends!

WOW! Can you believe how far we have made it into the Bible together?

I know some of you are right on track with our reading schedule and some of you are a bit behind… But the beautiful thing I see is that we are all in the Word, His Word, together.

For those of you who have read the Bible in 90 Days with me, this approach is rather different. For Bible in 90 Days, the goal is to rock and roll and get the entire Bible read in 90 days, start to finish.

Here, in Bible 180, I’d love to see each of us finish the Bible in 180 days, but more than that, I’d love to see each of us establish the habit of spending real time in the Word every single day. And not just a pop in/ pop out, but solid, beautiful time reading, pondering, wondering and yes, even questioning where we need to do so, so that we grow in our relationship with our Father.

The reading is hard in some spots, easy in others… and that can even be in just one week or one day. This past week there was so much violence, and so many stories of people straying from God and yet we also those who turned people back to God.

Wherever you are in the reading, I am glad you are with me. I am glad you are turning to God. I am glad you are seeking His wisdom with me and soaking in it daily… or almost daily.

Thank you for joining me. And thank you for letting me know each week that you are here. :)

Week 7 Reading Plan

Thank you, again, for reading with me. I do hope you are as well as can be, wherever you are… and that you are feeling His love and mine.

Please do leave a note to let us know you are with us.

In Him,

  1. I have been listening to the Word more, I find I’m drawn to listen and read it a lot more than I ever have been! I’m hustling to catch up – yay!!!

  2. I feel quite behind for a bit but I am back in track! I am loving it! I can’t believe how much we have read already!

  3. I love this! Reading the comments of other readers too! How this has meaning to us all! I get into the reading so much at times, that I feel the emotion. I felt Samuel’s disappointment, Eliab’s sinful pride, and David’s confidence in the Lord. Such good reads!

    1. Thank you! Yes, the comments are wonderful, too– seeing what pulled at the others takes me back, too. :) I’m glad you are reading with us!

I also was behind for a day this week but did catch up. Ruth was a very welcome change from the book of Judges and I’m enjoying First Samuel as well. I love the story of David and the scripture, ‘But the Lord said to Samuel: Do not judge from his appearance or from his lofty statue, because I have rejected him. God does not see an a mortal, who sees the appearance. The Lord looks into the heart.’ 1 Sam 16:7 A lesson for us all! Have a blessed week!

    1. Yes! So many nuggets of wisdom in there, for sure!
SO glad you are reading with us, Milly!

  5. I’m here and a little behind. But enjoying God’s word each day!

    1. Glad to read that, Susan. :)

Hi Amy and all my fellow Bible readers! I am still going strong, I admit I was behind on more than one day but I knew if I just kept at it daily I’d catch up and I did, finally!! I am loving reading, pondering and soaking in all of God’s Word every morning. I found this quote by Warren Wiersbe regarding 1 Samuel 17: “Do God’s work in the way God wants you to do it, not what others tell you.” David knew he could slay Goliath with his slingshot and 5 smooth stones, he didn’t need Saul’s armor. David knew from his past experiences that if God had delivered him out of the paws of lions and bears then God certainly could deliver him out of the hand of a Philistine of any size. We too, need to pause, refect, and remember back on what God has brought us out of and go forward in FAITH, facing our giants, even when others are telling us that it cannot be done. God is our deliverer!!! AMEN! Have a great week everyone❤

    1. Thanks, Teresa!
And YES!! I love what you shared on 1 Samuel 17/ doing work the way God wants you to do it. :) So, so beautiful and TRUE. Thank you!

I’m still with y’all, although slightly behind again. I love the Book of Ruth!

I’m learning so much reading these books and details I never knew. And it’ making me more aware of applying things to my life. And definitely it reaffirms that no matter how unsettled things are around us, God remains and is steady and when we lose focus, He can draw us back.

    1. Isn’t Ruth, beautiful, even in all of its messiness?
He IS steady. He IS here… always. :)
I’m glad you are with us, Heidi.
