Bible 180: The LAST WEEK!

Sweet friends, THIS IS IT!

This is week 26, our last week of reading the entire Bible in 180 days!

Wow! Can you believe we have been meeting weekly for that long? That we have been intentionally reading every word of the Bible together for 26 weeks? It has FLOWN by for me… and yet it is hard for me to remember NOT getting up on Monday morning and writing this post and creating the weekly bookmark.

Thoughts on last week

My pen was very busy in my journal last week, writing down verses to remember and to pray.

This one was what inspired me to blog about my impressions of the Bible more than ten years ago:

I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.
--Philemon 1:6

This one, from yesterday, is such a beautiful prayer I pray for my children, my husband.. and yes, even myself:

May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen
-Hebrews 13: 20-21

And then this other gorgeous prayer that we read a few days before that:

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven derives his name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being so that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-- that you may be filled to the measure of all fullness of God.
Ephesians 3:14-19

The Bible holds so much awesomeness. And this past week was certainly inspiring.

Reading schedule for Week 26 of Bible 180

This week we have more of that inspiration from men who walked with Jesus and we wrap it all up with Revelation, which I’ve spread out over three days of reading. Take your time. Read. Listen. Soak it all in and listen as the Holy Spirit guides you.

  1. Hard to believe that this journey is coming to an end. I really loved reading the scriptures with all of you.
    This week this scripture stood out to me, Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us and persevere in running the race that lies before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith. Heb 12:1-2. I feel that this is what we are called to do. I pray that we all can continue to keep our eyes focused on Jesus as we journey ahead.

  2. This has been quite a journey!!! I can’t believe we’re coming to the end. I may not finish this week, but I’ll keep trudging along. It’s has been an honor and a blessing to read through the Bible with you. Thank you for all of your encouragement. Many blessings on you and your family!

    Life happens. I got behind this week but will catch up and end with you. Thanks for all the positive posts, the encouraging words, and leading us to the very end. You have been a blessing in my life.
