Scripture: James 1:6
But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
Observation: When you go to God with requests, have faith in God’s abilities in responding to your prayers. If you don’t, you will constantly be swayed by all sorts of influences and have little real direction.
Application: This is from Chapter 29 of The Power of a Praying Wife where we are praying for our husband’s faith.
Living without a strong faith causes one to question lots of things.
In her book, Stormie Omartian points out that we all have faith, to some degree, in many different things.
A strong faith in God will allow us have a strong foundation and not be rocked by the ‘winds’ of the day. Instead our faith will guide us and enable us to keep our focus on God and his greatness.
Prayer: Lord, guide my husband as he puts his faith in you. Open his eyes to more of the big and little things you do in our lives every single day so that he will truly see your hand. Guide him in focusing on you and your love and enable his trust and foundation in you to blossom.
