A quick look through MomsToolbox will let you know that I have a passion for the Bible in 90 Days program. But I don’t always read the Bible that way. Sometimes I engage in deeper studies, and sometimes I like smaller nibbles each day.
Between bigger studies, or fast-paced Bible in 90 Days sessions, I use a Bible in a Year plan to give me a daily passage to read and use for prayer and meditation.
This schedule is a great way to stay in the Word without being overwhelmed and it is a great practice to get ready for the Bible in 90 Days program if you’ve never been in a steady daily reading program… or just need to get some practice before launching into a very time-consuming one.
I don’t use this schedule to help me read the entire Bible. (I use the 90 Days program for that.) I just use it to tell me what to read each day. If I miss a day I don’t worry about catching up, I just read the assigned reading for each day and that’s it… unless I feel Him pulling me elsewhere after I finish.
If you’d like to join me in reading a nibble of the Bible each day, I’d love for you to join in. Consider SOAP’ing through your reading, too, either in a personal notebook or on your own blog. (If you do blog your SOAPs, feel free to grab my SOAP Ring button.) But feel no obligation. If reading or praying is enough for you, then do that.
Print out this schedule, fold it and stick it in your Bible and follow along, reading each day. Or save the link as bookmark on your computer. If you have an iPhone, you can pull the screen up and touch the + sign on the bottom of your screen to save the link on your homescreen.
Then pull out your Bible and read along and share your observation on my daily SOAP posts if you’d like… I’d love to hear what you are hearing, too.
So, what do you think? Wanna join in? Or do you use a different plan? If so, how do you stay in the Word daily?
