Today’s Reading: Job 42:1- Psalms 24:10
Scripture: Psalm 25:5 (Oops. I guess I read a little past today’s reading)
guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are my God and Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.
Observation:
Teach me. You are the ultimate authority. And in you I should find ultimate joy.
Application:
Often I feel pulled in so many directions.
But God has the answer. He is the ultimate authority.
If I just weigh my to-dos against what I think He wants for me and for me to do, I will get a true sense of priority.
I am continually working to reset my priorities. This verse really spoke to me, reminding me to seek HIS guidance. And live according to His word… not the world’s.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, I love you. And I recognize that you are indeed the ultimate authority on everything.
When I am feeling frazzled or insecure, please remind me that all that really matters is your love for me.
Remind me of this verse. And help me to truly apply it. My hope really is in you… and I need you to teach me and guide me in your truth so that I don’t forget that.
Thank you, Lord.
