B 90 Days SOAP: He wants you back, truly

Day 54 of the Bible in 90 Days

Scripture: Jeremiah 4:1-2

1“If you return, O Israel, return to me, declares the Lord.

“If you put your detestable idols out of my sight and no longer go astray,

2and if in a truthful, just and righteous way you swear, ‘As surely as the Lord lives,’ then the nations will be blessed by him and in him they will glory.”

Observation: If you want to return to Me, please do and truly change your ways. Then you will see my blessing.

Application: God wants us back. Our Father wants us with Him, no matter how far we have strayed. He just want us to be in communion with Him, our Creator. But He wants us with Him in an honest, respectful relationship with true repentance.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your forgiveness and desire to be with each and every one of your children.

Please help those who think they cannot be forgiven see that you truly want to be in a relationship with them and will forgive and take them back, provided they accept your love and make a true change of heart.

It is so refreshing to understand that you know our brokenness. You know our mistakes… even the ones we don’t want to admit out loud… and you love us anyway.

Please, Lord, let all hear the truth of your redemptive, forgiving love. And use me however you wish in sharing that message.

Most of all, Lord, I thank you for your forgiveness of my sin and your acceptance of me into your kingdom, even with all of my mistakes.
