Day 15 of the Bible in 90 Days
Scripture: Deuteronomy 30: 4
Even if you have been banished to the most distant land under the heavens, from there the Lord your God will gather you and bring you back.
Observation: Verses prior to this one talk about returning to the Lord after straying. This verse reiterates that those that genuinely come back will be welcomed with open arms, loved and restored.
Application: God loves us, each and every one of us. He wants to be in communion with us. He wants to put his great big arms around us and let us experience the radiance of his love.
And even when we make mistakes, big, small and gargantuan ones, he still loves us and will bring us back if we just ask and then love him back with all of our being. Really. He said so. Nothing is too big for Jesus to bear. And he took it for all of us.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for this reminder that you love each and every single one of us.
And that you will always love us and call out for us and welcome us back when we stumble… no matter how big that stumble is. Really.
That is some amazing forgiveness. Thank you for that for me and all others.
Show me how to share this with those who really need to hear it, Lord. I want all to understand and experience your grace and love.
