Bible in 90 Days Check in

I know that the reading at the end of last week and the reading at the beginning of this week are a bit repetitive. Please keep in mind as you read that all scripture is God-breathed, so just dive in and keep reading.  You can do it and you will be enriched by the reading.

I am so proud of each and every one of you for reading, whether you are on track or not. Of course it is my desire that each of you finish with us in October and I know that you can do it.

Here are a few tips for fitting in Bible reading:

  • Carry your Bible with you everywhere as a reminder to keep reading.
  • Read while you are waiting for water to boil when making pasta.
  • Schedule 10 minute reading breaks throughout your day.
  • Hide in your closet for a short reading session.
  • Stay off the computer until you reach a Bible reading goal.

Do you have any tips for getting your reading done? Please share at the end of this post.

You are Here in the Bible

I’m thrilled to be adding weekly installments of You are Here in the Bible to our check in posts. They will help you to make more sense of what you are reading each week.

Ted Cooper, the creator of the Bible in 90 Days ministry, developed You are Here in the Bible as an easy reference tool to help as you read. He has given me permission to share this with you. (Thanks, Ted!!!) Please do not share these pages electronically or in photocopy form with anyone else. You may, however, share links to this document for future download.

1 Chronicles

2 Chronicles

Ezra

Nehemiah

Check in and let us know how you are doing

Checking in each week gives you a measuring post and a weekly goal to keep you on track so that you can complete this goal with us. It also lets us know who is still reading and who might need some extra encouragement. If you don’t check in, your mentor won’t know if she should still be helping you or if you have dropped out, so please check in so we know how to help and keep track of our readers. Reading and checking in here are the only two requirements of the program.

To check in, follow the highlighted text to find your group’s communication page or click the groovy graphic at the top of this post and follow the instructions there. You can also visit your group’s page at anytime during the week to connect with other members of your group.

If you do not know your group number, please check in by leaving a comment at the end of this post.

Tweet up!

Follow MomsToolbox on Twitter and join us every Monday night from 8-9 CST to chat about the reading, meet other readers and encourage each other for an hour of fast-paced conversation. Be sure to add #B90Days to your tweets and follow that hashtag so you don’t miss a message. I use TweetChat.com to help me keep track of the conversation and respond more easily.

Feel free to tweet about your progress on Twitter and encourage others anytime by tweeting with the #B90days hashtag. Then look for other tweets with the same hashtag and pray for and encourage those tweeters. (Using HootSuite or TweetDeck and opening a column for #B90Days helps to find those tweets.)

I’m on track with the reading and so are my kids. I read early in the morning before the kids wake up so when they wake up, I know the reading that we are going to do together and have an idea of what I want to share with them. Thanks for all the great tips.

These pages from Mr. Cooper are awesome! What a great blessing and encouragement they will be for many of us on this journey for the first time. Is there a way to link to the ones for the earlier parts of the bible we’ve already gone through? (I found the kings’ chart very helpful and eye opening, too!)

    1. I am working through getting all of the pages uploaded.

My best tip for myself for getting the reading done… especially this summer with all the extra summer activities going on… is for me to stay off the computer as much as possible!! :o)

It also helps to get most of the reading done early in the morning.

    Love, Bettie

  5. I like to read ahead during the week so that when the weekend comes and life gets busier, I have a cushion :)

    1. That’s a great tip!

  6. Thanks for those downloads Amy, they are great!

    1. Yay! I’m glad you like them! I’ve wanted to post them every session but had troubles. I am so glad to FINALLY be able to offer them. :)
