Happy Tuesday, sweet friends!
I absolutely enjoyed reading the New Testament with you and, since we finished last week, I have REALLY been missing it. I have been praying and thinking about a new plan to follow it, and, well, I believe I have found it.
I haven’t made a graphic yet. I’ll have that for us by Monday, when we start. I didn’t want to have THAT keep me from sharing the plan with you and inviting you to begin praying and thinking about joining me and inviting your friends to do the same. So here we are and here it is….
The new plan is called Bible 180. It starts Monday, August 3.
We will read every word of the Bible, Genesis to Revelation, in 180 days. We will start at Genesis and read straight through, page by page.
Why 180?
I’m callling it 180 for two reasons:
- I loved this reading pace. It is absolutely doable and gave me plenty of time to journal AND read… and even leaves time for other studies. So we will continue at the pace we read at last time, which will take us 180 days to read the entire Bible, start to finish.
- Reading the Bible changes you. I would even say it makes a 180° change in your life. Accepting Christ certainly does!
How will it work?
We’ll start at the beginning, in Genesis, and go right through to Revelation, reading at the same pace we read the New Testament in 40 Days. This will put us through the entire Bible in 180 days.
Reading Dates
We will start together on Monday, August 3, and go through Friday, January 29, 2021. I’ll post the reading plan and also post here on MomsToolbox throughout.
Weekly Check-Ins on MomsToolbox
I will post the weekly schedule as well as a few notes about the week’s reading every Monday. Please make a point to drop by every Monday to read the notes and also leave your own notes in the comments to let us know how you are doing and cheer the rest of us on, as well.
I will also post throughout the week, but Mondays will be our standing “meeting” to hold each other accountable and come together as a group. Mark it on your calendar and stop by. (Your notes are like sunshine to me!!!)
Invite your friends!
Feel free to invite your friends to join us. Often having an “in person” friend to text you, in addition to the blog reminders, can be that extra help to keep you on track. Plus it’s always great to have a friend discuss those more challenging points of scripture or get excited with about the more cheerful ones. We’ll start right out of the gate with some soap-opera-worthy stuff, so get ready for THAT!!
I’m excited to begin again… and to get rolling for a solid 180 days. This is going to be fun… and deep. Good stuff awaits us, friends.
Who is in?
Let me know by leaving a note here. Then meet me at our first check in post Monday morning, August 3. I’m soooooooo excited!
In love,
