Today’s Reading: Hosea 13:7- Amos 9:10
Scripture:
Hosea 14:1.
Return O Israel, to the Lord your God.
Your sins have been your downfall!
Hosea 14:4
“I will heal their waywardness
and love them freely,
for my anger has turned away from them.
Observation:
God wants us back. He knows our sins have caused trouble and He will love us and make us better as we turn back to Him.
Application:
The Lord wants us back. He doesn’t want us wallowing in pain and devastation as a result of our sin. He wants us to turn to Him.
We live in a broken world. He knows that. And He wants us to admit our brokenness and then rely on Him. When we do that, He will lavish us with His love and heal us.
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for accepting me and loving me with all of my faults. I get so frustrated with myself when I know I have done wrong. Thank you for always being there when I realize my errors and then seek you. It amazes me that you will always take us back if we turn to you in truth. Thank you so much for not turning your back on us, but instead for forgiving us. Thanks for continually asking us to return. And for being there when we do.
