Scripture: Acts 20: 23-24
23I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me. 24However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me– the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.
Observation:
Wow. Paul has no doubt that following Christ and proclaiming the truth will be filled with hardship. (At one point he delivered that hardship and pain.) and yet he keeps on and truly lives all he has for the Lord.
Application:
Gulp.
Paul truly lived for Christ. How am I living for Christ? What do I avoid for fear?
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for sending your son to die for me. And thank you for so many others who have paid high prices so that I would learn about them and come to know you.
Please, Lord, open my heart where it needs to be opened to fully serve you in the manner you want me serve. Show me how to use my skills and my heart for you and not be held back, not by fear or anything else.
