Can you believe that here we are on Day 90 of the Bible in 90 Days?
In some ways it seems like just a few weeks ago that we began this journey when people were still signing up and new mentors were still just deciding to volunteer, and yet it also feels so far away at the same time.
90 days. A countless number of people try to read the entire Bible in their lifetime. Many do, but many more do not. And if you took this Bible in 90 Days journey this summer and fall then you are either finished or much closer to the finish than you thought you might ever be.
When you do finish, please click over to our Bible in 90 Days finisher post and share your thoughts. If you blog, feel free to leave a link to a post there about the experience on your own site. I want to hear how this challenge impacted you, what you heard, what kept you going and anything else you’d like to share.
What will your next steps be? Will you bring the program to your church? Will you invite a group of friends to read and mentor them? What will you do to share the Bible with others… and help someone else reach what might be lifetime goal of their own?
If you aren’t finished yet, don’t give up. Stick to it and keep reading. My first pass took 97 days. I still cried tears of joy when I finished and later that week I cried again when I bought myself a gift to commemorate my commitment and achievement. (And yes, I still cry reading all of your finishing comments and emails.) Reading the Bible in 90 Days impacted every study I have done since then, it has given every sermon I have heard since then more meaning and it finally gave my faith the cement it needed.
If you aren’t finished, you have NOT failed. I know I can sound a bit tough during the reading, but every word of the Bible you read is meaningful, whether you finish in 90 days or not. I will say, though, that having a deadline is a huge help– as is having a team cheering for you. With that being said, if you aren’t done, I’ve got another deadline for you: If you cannot finish today or tomorrow, how about finishing by Day 100, which will be November 27? Can you do make it happen by then?
I want as many as possible of you to read every single word. And I know that having a deadline will help make it happen. Don’t say, “Oh, I’ll just do it next time.” What if there isn’t a next time? Do it now. Jump into your Bible and make it happen. Now is your time. He called you and you committed. Now let’s DO THIS!
If you are still reading but are committed to finishing, let us know by leaving a comment here on this post. I’ll pray for you and I bet many others will, too.
If you are finished, please share your thoughts over on the Bible in 90 Days finisher post.
Happy Day 90, y’all. I am so proud of EACH and EVERY one of you! Thank you for reading with the MomsToolbox community this session!
