Welcome to Week 7 of the Bible in 90 Days with MomsToolbox!
Seven weeks, y’all. We are starting on our SEVENTH week to read the Bible together. How amazing is that?
This week we will cross the half-way point. If you’re up to date, that means you will have read ONE HALF OF THE BIBLE (in just 45 days!!) very soon.
If you are not up to date in the reading, but you have committed to read nearly every single day, then, guess what… I count that as a victory, too.
CHA-CHING!
This week the reading changes a bit.
I often get mixed reviews about the content from readers this week. Many look forward to the Psalms and then find themselves sailing through. Others find it harder to get through.
As I mentioned last week, I get to this point and feel sometimes like it is a bit too rich to take all of my daily reading in one setting and have to break it up.
There is not doubt that if you have some familiarity with the Bible, you’ll run across lots of verses you have heard before this week in Psalms and Proverbs through hymns and sermons. I often find myself singing a few verses as I read.
The key here is to just read it all and take it at your pace. Listen to what God is sharing, but don’t feel pressure to get a massive message in every line. Let the words wash over you and just take them in. You can always go back later to investigate deeper meaning and journal specifics. For now, perhaps highlight or mark things, and keep reading.
