This weekend’s reading is 1 Corinthians 10-16 and 2 Corinthians 1-10.
Good morning, sweet friends. Well, good morning if you’re in the US, anyhow. I know that all of you aren’t, which, in itself, is exciting. :)
Thank you to all of you for a touch of grace the past few days as I skipped posting Thursday and Friday. The days just got away from me, I didn’t post and I regret that. The reading was GLORIOUS so it most certainly was not that.
On Thursday, wouldn’t you agree that we read some of the most beautiful prayers we could pray for our loved ones?
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Romans 15:13
Isn’t that just lovely?!
I’m praying that for you right now, dear reader! I do pray that the God of hope, our God, the one true God, does fill you with all the joy and peace as you trust in him, that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit!
And before that, in the reading, wasn’t this reassuring?!
“for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable”
Romans 11:29
Whew. That’s good news. Because I’ve felt like I’ve messed up a time or two… or a few thousand.
There is so so much beauty in this reading. I do pray you are soaking it up, day by day.
I haven’t read for today, yet. After missing the last two days of posting, I felt I should post first, read second, so I’m off to do that now.
It’s Saturday and the house is still pretty quiet. Sunshine is pouring in the windows, the kids are asleep, my husband is even still lounging in bed. I have the living room to myself… well, except for the cats who are sunning themselves. I’m going in!
In love,
