Yesterday I asked if you were really in on reading the Bible in 90 Days with us.
I’m assuming that you are really in if you are reading this post… and I hope you are.
(And if you are, I hope you have filled out your info on the official Bible in 90 Days sign up form. If not, go do it now and then come back. Unless of course you don’t want any encouragement and don’t want to succeed.)
If you are still kinda thinking about it, I thought I’d answer a few questions I get asked most often. Maybe I can convince you to join us while you still have the time to get a Bible and begin reading with us on July 5.
Amy’s Bible in 90 Days Most FAQ:
Why 90 days?
- 90 days is an attainable goal where you can clearly see the end before you begin… It’s just 3 months. The founder of the program wanted to just get it read and make a decision. He knew he could manage something for 90 days and you can, too. (Little did he know just how much those 90 days would change his life on so many levels!!)
- 90 days allows for the Bible to be broken into sizable, yet manageable passages for reading. Each day’s reading will take you, on average, between 45 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes. That’s totally manageable for 90 days!
- Reading at this pace makes reading the fulfillment of prophecy incredibly exciting… You will just have read the Old Testament when you hit the New Testament, so when you see all that prophecy take life you cannot deny that the Bible is the truth and has one true author. I can’t wait until you get there!
Will I really get anything out of going to fast?
Yes, you will get something out of reading each and every single word of the Bible. The Lord will speak to you when He wants you to hear something.
No, you will not remember everything, but you will be amazed at what you do remember. And you will be amazed at how every sermon will be more complete and every study you do after this will make more sense.
Will there be a lot of reading? Are we reading the entire Bible, cover to cover?
Yes, there will be a lot of reading.
Yes, we will be reading the entire Bible, cover to cover, not an abridged Bible.
Do I have to officially sign up on the sign up form?
Yes, if you want to succeed and be a part of our group you do. I will use that form to pray for you, check in with you, assign you to a mentor and see who hasn’t been checking in. Help me to help you and sign in. I promise there will not be any guilt-ridden emails, just love.
Do I have to get a Twitter account to participate?
Nope, you don’t. And I don’t want you on Twitter (or Facebook or anywhere else online) unless you are up to date on your reading, have your scheduled time later in the day or are searching for encouragement.
If you do have a Twitter account, you can participate in our weekly meetings Monday nights from 8-9 CST by following and using the #B90Days hashtag. Please also consider following me (@Momstoolbox).
The weekly ‘meetings’ give you a chance to ask questions and get answers quickly, see what everyone else is asking and cheer each other on. Many readers will also tweet when they have finished their reading for the day, and RT other’s progress as encouragement. (Just please do not let your tweeting keep you from reading.)
How do we hold each other accountable?
I ask that you check in every Monday on MomsToolbox.com with either a comment explaining where you are in the reading on your group’s check in page. There will be a link to that page on the week’s check in post. No beautiful analytical pieces required. A simple, “Yep, I’m up to date!” or, “Arrgh! I’m behind by 15 pages,” will help the rest of us to pray for you. And perhaps knowing that you are expected to check in before midnight will inspire you to fit in a bit more reading time as you need it. There will also be a linky on each check in post, allowing you to link up one current blog post about the reader per week, if you woudl like.
I’ve already signed up on another blog. Do I need to sign up here?
Yes. MomsToolbox is the official online reading and accountability group for the Bible in 90 days program. Many other blogs are also encouraging readers, but this is the spot for the official sign up.

Do I HAVE to use the Bible in 90 Days Bible?
No, you don’t. It just increases your chance at success. If you would prefer to use another Bible you can. Print this Bible in 90 Days reading schedule and do your best to ignore the footnotes and cross-references in other Bibles. This is a reading plan, not a study plan.
Why are you hosting this challenge?
Reading the Bible in 90 days changed my life. Not only did I achieve a huge goal, but, more importantly, I heard God talking to me in ways I never had before I read the entire Bible. I finally felt I had that relationship with my Creator that I had prayed about for many years.
I want as many people to read the entire Bible as possible… I want everyone to read it. I want everyone’s lives to be changed. And this is the best way I know how to help make that happen.
