Good morning, friends!
As I wait to board my flight back home I may be bleary-eyed, but I still have a lot to be thankful for from yesterday. (Even if I might have booked myself at the wrong airport hotel last night which required me to get up extra early instead sleep a few moments later as planned.)
Yesterday I attended the Women’s Entrepreneur Festival in New York City. The event was hosted at One World Trade Center.
Here’s a peek of the outside of the building:
We were way up in the sky, which allowed for some gorgeous sightseeing. I was in the middle of a conversation with one (amazing) woman when I couldn’t help but be distracted by Lady Liberty. It was as if she was waving to us: The gorgeous views were all around us:
More than the views we could see, though, we’re all the exciting views we shared with each other. It was exciting to be surrounded by so many energetic, ambitious, smart, savvy women all there to engage and connect.
There were women there who had taken great strides and made huge impacts in all areas of business. There were women there who had great vision and were on journeys of their own to forge new ground and do amazing things. Every woman I met was eager to hear about my project and eager to help. And I was delighted to hear others’ stories and offer input and introductions where I could.
It was truly an amazing energy-filled day.
I’m thankful for the sights I saw, the women I met, the inspiration I received and the gifts I hope to share with the go-getters I can help. I’m also thankful for renewed friendships from last year and new friendships from this year.
It was another great day.
