Happy Easter, friends.
Last night I was chatting with someone who is very special to me. He told me that he is very excited about Easter this year, as it is his first as a believer, a true follower of Christ. Listening to him talk brought so much joy to my heart, and even brushed off a few cobwebs which needed clearing away.
He told me that he had just been reading in Luke about the time two men were walking with Jesus, after the resurrection which they did not know about, and were talking with him, telling him all about Jesus, not knowing with whom they were talking, Then, they began to see who He was. There eyes were opened, Their hearts were opened, They were amazed and in awe.
Listening to this person last night made me think of not just him as he shared his excitement in the scriptures, but each of us, as that Light finally really breaks in and we begin to understand just who Jesus is and how significant Easter really is.
“It was always about bunnies and chocolate and family. Now I see it is so much more,” he told me.
My heart leapt inside of me.
I love that he wasn’t smacked over the head, but that God whispered to him through the years, preparing his heart for the story and then revealed it to him at the perfect time.
I love that this person wanted to share his new understanding with me.
Last night was a special night. Welcome, friend, and brother in Christ. I’m so glad to count you as a believer.
I pray this Easter brings blessings your way, dear friend and reader. I pray you see His Light in more moments to count.
