Good morning! Yesterday we finished up Esther in the Old Testament and today we launch into Hebrews in the New Testament with chapter one.
If you’d like to join me for the rest of the readings, this month’s reading schedule is here.
Here is what I heard today:
Scripture: Hebrews 1:3
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Observation:
This verse pretty much sums up who Jesus Christ is: He shows God’s glory. His word is all powerful. He forgives us of our sin. And he sits with our Father in heaven.
Application:
Wow! Jesus Christ truly is amazing and awe-inspiring. He is worthy of praise, more worthy than I will likely fully comprehend, to be honest.
Prayer:
Father, thank you of your son, whom you set above all angels and with whom you rule all creation. He is amazing. You are amazing. You know just what we need, and you have known that since the beginning of time. Thank you for being so generous and kind and sending love and grace to each of us for the taking. Thank you for your son.
